The Litigation Paralegal supports the firms attorneys by managing critical components of legal casework in practice areas such as insurance defense real estate litigation construction disputes and personal injury. This onsite role involves thorough preparation meticulous coordination and hands-on involvement in all phases of litigation to drive successful legal outcomes for clients.
Case Management: Assist with organizing and maintaining case files including pleadings correspondence and exhibits ensuring prompt access and robust version control.
Document Drafting & Review: Prepare legal documents such as motions discovery requests subpoena responses and court filings. Review and edit documents for accuracy format and compliance with court rules.
Discovery & Evidence Handling: Coordinate discovery efforts including document collection and sorting e-discovery preparation and production under attorney direction.
Legal Research & Support: Conduct basic legal research; summarize findings and relevant case law; support attorneys in hearings depositions mediations and trial preparation.
Client & Court Interaction: Manage client intake and communications professionally; coordinate court filings schedule hearings confirm appointments and manage service obligations.
Trial & Hearing Assistance: Prepare exhibits manage binders schedule logistics liaise with court personnel and oversee trial setup to ensure courtroom readiness.
Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Paralegal Studies Legal Studies or a related field preferred.
Proven experience as a paralegal in litigation-heavy practice environments.
Strong organizational skills attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proficiency with legal case management and document systems; knowledge of e-discovery tools is an advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work collaboratively under timelines.
