Job Description

The Licensed Child-Care Administrator is responsible for ensuring quality services and advocacy of children and young adults in residential facilities in the state of Texas. The LCCA is responsible for working with the facility administration to maintain an environment that promotes the patients rights. The LCCA spends daily time in the milieu and around the facility in a way that models company culture and professionalism. The LCCA consults with the Program Director regarding needs/duties to be completed and works closely with the Program Director when any issues arise.

Responsibilities

  • As assigned by the Program Director is primarily responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Daily supervision and on-site administrative responsibility as assigned by the Program Director for the overall operation of the facility.
  • Ensuring staffing patterns meet regulatory requirements regarding supervision and provision of child/young adult-care services.
  • Ensuring the provision of planned but flexible program activities designed to meet the developmental needs of children/young adults.
  • Helping to ensure a system is available for employees to handle emergencies.
  • Assign tasks to caregivers that do not conflict or interfere with caregiver responsibilities.
  • Perform duties according to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that the facility operates in compliance with applicable rules of Chapter 42 of the Texas
  • Human Resources Code Chapter 745 of this title (relating to Licensing) and other applicable local state and federal laws.
  • Ensure that a child/young adult in company care does not act as a caregiver.
  • Ensure persons whose behavior or health status presents a danger to children/young adults are not allowed at the facility.
  • Quarterly Health and Safety Meetings (Lead)
  • The LCCA will meet regularly with the Program Director and Milieu Manager to discuss division and assignment of responsibilities.

Qualifications :

  • Active TX Child-Care Administrator License
  • At least one year of management/supervisory experience in a residential child care setting
  • Masters Degree Doctoral Degree -or- Bachelors Degree with at least two years of full-time
  • child care or related work experience.
  • Must possess a current drivers license and be in good standing
