Job Description

Adelphi is seeking Speech Therapists to provide Speech Therapy Services in a school district in Montgomery County Virginia. The Speech Therapist will provide appropriate speech and language therapy services to students through evaluations observations and consultations.

Requirements:

Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Current Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology license.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

Experience in a school setting is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Assess referred students for special education through appropriate testing and diagnostic practice.

Interpret testing results and implications to school staff parents and students as needed.

Write speech and language therapy reports and complete eligibility reports.

Confer with teachers and parents through conducting classroom observations and provide feedback.

Participate in student support meetings and assist in collaborative problem-solving.

Contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEP).

Maintain positive professional relationships with students parents staff and the public.

Other duties as assigned.
