Job Summary

General Summary

Under limited supervision provides an advanced level of comprehensive health care to a specific patient population in collaboration with medical staff. Follows established applicable nursing and medical standards procedures and practices and gives specific patient care directions to nursing and other support staff.

  • Provide outpatient cardiovascular consultations and manage chronic conditions such as hypertension coronary artery disease heart failure arrhythmias and hyperlipidemia.
  • Interpret and order diagnostic testing including EKGs echocardiograms Holter/event monitors stress testing and vascular studies.
  • Conduct hospital follow-ups pre-operative clearances and both new and returning patient visits.
  • Educate patients on lifestyle changes medications risk reduction and disease prevention.
  • Independently run treadmill and nuclear stress tests.

Support & Environment:

  • Work alongside experienced cardiologists fellow NPs/PAs nurses and MAs.
  • Access to advanced office equipment including EKGs echocardiography machines ambulatory monitors and more.
  • Strong administrative support for scheduling referrals and care coordination.
  • Patient load averages 1012 patients per day.

Qualifications :

  • Master of Science in Nursing and completion of an accredited NP program.
  • Current NP and RN licensure in Maryland.
  • Active DEA and CDS eligibility.
  • BLS certification (required prior to patient care).
  • Minimum of 2 years of NP experience with cardiology experience is required.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience as a Nurse Practitioner with an annualized salary ranging from approximately $104416 to $144142.
