Our client a leading technology and defense contractor is seeking a Subcontracts Lead to manage the full lifecycle of subcontracts supporting U.S. federal international and commercial programs. This high-impact role involves end-to-end subcontract execution from strategy development and solicitation through negotiation performance oversight and closeout.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the execution of major subcontracts ensuring alignment with cost schedule technical and quality targets.
Develop acquisition strategies draft SOWs issue RFPs and conduct source selections.
Negotiate complex subcontract agreements (FFP CPFF T&M etc.) and manage associated documentation.
Oversee subcontractor performance and coordinate with internal teams across engineering legal program management and quality.
Support compliance with FAR/DFAR ITAR/EAR prime contract flow-downs and internal procedures.
Contribute to risk mitigation strategies and cost optimization initiatives.
Participate in audits and support business development efforts including teaming agreements and NDAs.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree with 9 years of relevant experience or Masters with 7 years; 13 years accepted instead of a degree.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry is required.
Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFAR regulations.
Title must reflect direct experience with subcontract management.
Must be willing and able to work fully onsite in Fort Wayne Indiana (relocation assistance provided).
