Job Description

Our client an Am Law 100 firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 3 years (ONLY a third year associate) of business litigation experience to join its Commercial Litigation Practice Group in the New York office.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience handling complex commercial matters in both state and federal courts.

Responsibilities will include:

Managing all phases of litigation including written and document discovery
Drafting pleadings motions and other court filings
Taking and defending depositions
Preparing witnesses for testimony
Appearing at court conferences and arguing motions
Participating in settlement discussions and negotiations
Supporting trial preparation efforts

Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills are essential. Candidates should demonstrate a positive attitude sound judgment excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact directly with clients and partners.
