DOT is seeking a Deputy Director of Outreach and Public Engagement to help grow and expand Dining Out NYC (DONYC). Under the direction of the Director of Public Engagement this individual will be responsible for planning and executing stakeholder outreach to support DONYC. The selected candidate will be responsible for: increasing awareness of the programs benefits and understanding of the licensing process; studying and refining the programs digital and in-person communication; gathering feedback from applicants and key stakeholders on the program to improve future operations; using outreach to support DOT staff around key events impacting the program such as street redesigns special events or changes to requirements; as needed assist program staff in their interactions with the general public local politicians city agencies elected officials and stakeholders.

Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 or 2 above. However all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in 1 above.
