AECOM is seeking a Senior Trackwork Inspector to be based in Orange CA.
- Serves as technical expert in field inspections ad audits recognized as the go-to expert internally and externally.
- Provides guiding direction for inspections on engagements.
- Sets direction and goals for inspection and/or business line.
- External spokesperson on technical project issues.
- Leads the audit strategy for individuals area of expertise.
- Key point of contact for engagements and member of AECOM senior leadership team.
- Visits construction site and inspects each stage of construction on a designated project up to completion.
- Works under the supervision of a project construction manager as part of an integrated construction management team.
- Interprets plans specifications and codes and verifies contract work is performed in accordance with the contract documents.
- May assist in obtaining approved designs and permits from utility companies for services to construction sites. Determine if construction work conforms to plans and specifications if not issue Non-Conformance Reports for corrective action.
- Maintains daily inspection reports for construction activities which may include logs and materials reports. Review or prepare interim progress reports in support of verification of contractor payments. Monitor contractor quality testing activities.
- Prepares reports on labor material and equipment on site for extra work items.
- Assist in maintaining supporting and promoting a safe work environment while complying with projects safety rules policies and procedures.
- May coordinate and/or provide input for the preparation of inspection cost estimates and maintenance records. Arranges coordinates performs or oversees technical inspections of work for disciplines such as mechanical electrical and plumbing for conformance to specification requirements.
- Coordinates independent test laboratory activities and compares verifications test results with results from Contractors laboratory.
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications
- HS 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- 10 years of experience which reflect a progressively increasing level of responsibility on complex projects as a General Contractor Building Construction Supervisor or construction inspector on heavy construction projects transportation or transit construction projects for the disciplines within the work including trackwork.
- Inspector license comparable Deputy Inspection License for a county for city agency NICET certification or other alternative certification form an acceptable nationally recognized organization or regional agency is highly desirable where applicable to inspection of the trade or discipline related to rail transit trackwork construction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on direct fixation transit trackwork facilities.
- Cal-OSHA/OSHA 30 training certification.
