Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Development Manager to lead development initiatives from conceptualization through this onsite leadership role you will oversee the full life cycle of development projects driving site acquisition design construction and delivery all while aligning with company vision budgets and community expectations.



Key Responsibilities

Project Strategy & Planning

  • Lead site analysis and feasibility studies; evaluate market trends zoning considerations and cost-benefit analyses.

  • Shape project concepts into actionable development plans balancing design financials and community impact.

  • Coordinate land acquisition and negotiate with landowners or municipal partners.

Design & Construction Oversight

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (architects engineers contractors) to develop timelines budgets and design standards.

  • Manage the RFP process oversee contractor selection and ensure construction adheres to plans quality benchmarks and regulatory codes.

  • Conduct onsite reviews coordinate inspections and resolve emerging construction or design issues.

Financial & Contract Management

  • Track project budgets manage financial reporting and enforce cost-control measures to safeguard profitability.

  • Work closely with finance and legal counterparts to draft and manage contracts leases and vendor agreements.

  • Inform senior leadership through regular financial and progress updates.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a point of contact for municipal authorities community stakeholders and investors.

  • Manage permitting processes approvals and maintain positive relations with municipal environmental and civic agencies.

  • Represent the company in local development meetings and community planning initiatives.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure all projects meet code safety and environmental standards.

  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize construction quality timelines and delivery processes.

  • Mentor and support junior development staff through training and best-practice guidance.




Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Real Estate Construction Management Urban Planning Business or a related field (advanced degrees beneficial).

  • Minimum 5 7 years of progressive experience in real estate development site planning or construction leadership.

  • Proven track record managing multi-phase development projects from initial concept through closing.

  • Strong financial acumen including budget analysis and cost-tracking skills.

  • Excellent communication negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Hands-on approach with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
