Job Description
Salary: $ 85000.00
We have partnered with a global retailer and wholesaler in the New York City NY area to provide them with a Technical Designer. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.
Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Technical Designer:
#1. Must have at least 5 years experience pattern making fit and technical design in wovens and knits
#2. Experience working within a brand environment and translating its essence into technical design elements is a key requirement.
#3. Hands-on experience in technical design pattern making fit technology and specification.
#4. Expert knowledge of pattern making grading and garment construction for woven and knit apparel.
#5. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator Photoshop PLM systems and technical sketching.
Responsibilities of the Technical Designer:
Work with the Technical Design Manager and internal teams to develop design solutions through the construction phase.
Requirements of the Technical Designer:
- Effectively working with team members is a prerequisite.
- Experience working within a brand environment and translating its essence into technical design elements is a key requirement.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in technical design demonstrating your mastery of pattern making fit technology and specification.
- Ability to articulate technical needs effectively to overseas partners is vital in maintaining seamless collaboration.
- Expert knowledge of pattern making grading and garment construction for woven and knit apparel.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator Photoshop PLM systems and technical sketching.
- Highly organized detail-oriented and comfortable juggling multiple timelines.
Other Key Requirements:
- In office role.
- No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
