Job Description

The Associate Director Medical Impact will play a crucial role in developing the standards processes and framework for measuring end-to-end medical impact and care gaps and creating tools for synthesizing insights across Medical Affairs Health Impact (MHI). This role will serve as a translator between Business Unit (BU) Therapeutic Areas (Tas) International Tas and the Medical Engagement team to identify capabilities that will contribute to the long-term success of the MHI organization and ensure that the capabilities are being utilized appropriately by the organization. Strong data analytics and communication skills will be essential to success in this role.

This position is based onsite at our Mettawa IL campus and will follow a hybrid model of 3 days/week onsite.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including BU TAs and International Tas to understand their needs and requirements in order to develop impact and insights capabilities that contribute to the long-term success of the MHI organization.
  2. Serve as a translator between BU TAs International TAs and the Medical Engagement team to ensure effective communication and understanding of capabilities.
  3. Implement standardized processes and frameworks for measuring end-to-end medical impact across MHI.
  4. Transform the approach to impact tracking from static manual report generation to a real-time dashboard-based approach.
  5. Scale Medical Engagement Blueprint across TAs
  6. Partner with Real World Evidence (RWE) and HEOR teams to operationalize care gap analytics across TAs.
  7. Create tools and methodologies for synthesizing insights from various sources including field feedback to provide actionable recommendations for the MHI organization.
  8. Identify key sources of insight for MHI including existing and novel datasets and develop an approach to analysis.
  9. Keep a pulse on capabilities rollouts and identify opportunities for changes to future waves.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends best practices and regulatory requirements related to medical impact measurement and insights synthesis.

Qualifications :

  1. Bachelors or equivalent degree required. Advanced degree (PharmD PhD MD MBA) highly preferred.
  2. At least 6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent with Bachelors or 4 years experience with Masters and 2 years with PhD
  3. Strong experience with real-world data and current methods of data analysis and machine learning.
  4. 3-4 years of experience in Medical Affairs highly preferred
  5. Demonstrate creative out of the box thinking to solve difficult unstructured problems
  6. Strong decision making under uncertainty
  7. Stakeholder management and leadership skills in matrix organization
  8. Strong analytical reasoning abilities intellectual curiosity strong business acumen and creativity in problem solving.
  9. Broad understanding of the pharmaceutical business
  10. Ability to effectively present ideas and document complex medical/clinical concepts and processes in both written and oral communication
  11. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
