We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Escrow Officer to join our growing this role you will play a vital part in ensuring real estate transactions are handled smoothly accurately and in compliance with legal requirements. You will interact with sellers buyers and lending institutions oversee critical documents and manage the transfer of funds to ensure every closing is completed successfully.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between sellers buyers and lending institutions
- Transfer manage and safeguard escrow funds
- Review and verify land ownership records deeds and related documents
- Prepare closing statements and finalize real estate transactions
- Examine and ensure accuracy of mortgages trust deeds and legal documents
- Summarize and review results of title searches and document activity
- Obtain property reports and drawings from assessors and surveyors
- Oversee ownership documentation and verify property titles for accuracy
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; additional certifications preferred
- Escrow certification strongly preferred
- Previous experience as an Escrow Officer or in a related role
- Strong knowledge of legal codes court procedures and compliance regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
