Job Description

  • Assist in leak detection activities in water pipelines pumping stations and distribution networks.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance and repair of pumps valves meters hydrants and piping systems.
  • Operate and maintain specialized leak detection equipment (acoustic devices correlators data loggers etc.).
  • Support field teams in pipeline excavation isolation and repair activities.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce water losses.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections leak detection reports and maintenance activities.
  • Diploma / ITI / Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician preferably in water distribution leak detection or utilities projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems such as pumps valves and piping.
  • Familiarity with leak detection tools and techniques (acoustic pressure or tracer gas methods).
