DATA ENGINEER - MATILLION (HYBRID)
Portuguese company hires for hybrid work
Working Model:Hybrid / 60% Remote and 40% Presential
Location:Lisbon Portugal / Candidates for this position must already be located in Portugal

We are looking for a talented Data Engineer with Matillion skills to join our team!
General Expertise
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to work with complex datasets combining technical tools with an understanding of the business context.
- In-depth and broad knowledge of data domains backed by industry experience.
- Effective communication skills including documenting design decisions build and test procedures and maintenance processes.
- Confident presentation skills able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Act as a technical lead: coach and mentor data engineers promote best practices remove technical roadblocks during project delivery and support Run & Support teams with critical issues and root cause analysis (RCA).
Communication & Collaboration
- Clear and proactive communication.
- Strong documentation skills (SDD/TDD knowledge).
- Adherence to core standards and tool-specific guidelines.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work across teams.
- Team management experience.
- Understanding of project finances and budgeting.
- Ability to estimate design build and implement data pipelines based on business requirements and use cases.
