POSITION SUMMARY:
The Loan Processor is responsible for managing loan applications from start to finish. This includes gathering and verifying applicant information ensuring compliance with all regulations and preparing loan files for underwriting. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills - effective interaction resourceful and able to find solutions independently anticipating challenges and proactively addressing them can be trusted to handle information maintain confidentiality and consistently deliver quality work.
ABOUT THE CLIENT:
Specialises in home buying and refinancing services and helping clients understand all of their mortgage and financing options to be able to make smart and informed decisions. We are focused on addressing client needs and understanding their financial situation throughout the entire real estate financing process.
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
- Application Review: Examine initial loan applications and ensure all required documentation is complete.
- Documentation: Collect and verify applicant information including income credit reports and other relevant financial data.
- Compliance: Ensure all loan documentation complies with company policies and government regulations.
- Communication: Liaise with applicants underwriters and other relevant parties to facilitate a smooth loan process.
- Data Entry: Accurately enter applicant information into loan processing systems.
- File Preparation: Prepare and organise loan files for underwriting and closing.
- Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the loan processing stage.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to applicants by answering questions and providing updates on the loan status.
- General Admin: Social media postings
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Mercury (loan processing software) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to loan processing.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong English Language Skills - written & verbal
- Creative and strategic thinking skills

At least 3+ years experience in Administration; Scheduling Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems, with demonstrated experience in data management and system administration; Intermediate Word and Excel skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
