Job Description
- Design and implement Python-based data processing solutions using OOP principles design patterns and unit testing.
- Work with large datasets using pandas and other Python data processing libraries.
- Develop and maintain REST API applications that interact with databases perform transformations and return business-driven results.
- Leverage SQL and DBT for data modeling transformations and optimization.
- Use data orchestrators (Airflow Dagster Mage AI etc.) to schedule and manage workflows.
- Integrate solutions with Azure resources such as Storage Accounts Key Vaults and Azure Databases.
- Manage version control with Git and containerized development using Docker and VS Code devcontainers.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements analyze challenges and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Contribute to optimization models monitoring existing models and performing ad-hoc analysis as required.
- 6 8 years of experience in software/data engineering and applied data science.
- Strong Python engineering skills (OOP design patterns testing).
- Expertise in data processing with pandas.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs in Python.
- Proficiency in SQL and DBT (data build tool).
- Familiarity with data orchestrators (Airflow Dagster Mage AI).
- Working knowledge of Azure cloud resources (Storage Key Vaults Databases).
- Experience with Git Docker and VS Code devcontainers.
- Build robust scalable data pipelines and APIs adhering to best practices.
- Write test and maintain clean maintainable code while justifying design and technology choices.
- Communicate effectively with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable solutions.
- Deliver optimization models and ensure smooth deployment into production.
- Monitor improve and troubleshoot existing models and workflows.
- Balance independent work with collaborative problem-solving in Agile/DevOps environments.
