Job Description
Position Title: Technical Architect-Demandware
Work Location: PFCC Puchong
Budget: Open
Employment Term: 12 months and extendable contract

Responsibilities:
As a Demandware Technical Architect you will be responsible for the detailed technical design of Demandware implementations for our clients.
To ensure that functional requirements and high level solution designs are understood and are translated into detailed technical design for Demandware specific components.
Identifying the customizations needed to Demandware platform for meeting client requirements are creating the technical design.
Communicating the technical design to the Demandware developers and helping and guiding them in the implementation.
Mentor Demandware developers in improving their platform knowledge and development skills.
Liaise closely with eCommerce BA and Solution Architect to create a comprehensive technical design.
Participate in Agile sprints and help developers understand the strengths and limitations of Demandware and provide technical help if needed.
Support the clients in developing their strategic roadmap to identify opportunities for improved business performance and to extract maximum value from investments.
Requirements:
A minimum of 8 years IT experience of which at least past 2 years shall be as Demandware Technical Architect with strong involvement engineering/development teams.
Should have worked on at least 2-3 end to end implementations of Demandware commerce projects as a technical architect.
Experience of various code repository tools such as SVN or GitHub.
Should have done hands on Demandware and Java development work in the past.
Experience with managing technical software projects with good understanding of the business processes.
Candidate shall have experience in working in Agile environment.
Thorough understanding of software engineering practices and methodologies.
The right candidate will demonstrate deep technical knowledge of:
Demandware platform and Business Manager tool:
- Demandware OCAPI
- Demandware Customer Service Suite
- Demandware SiteGenesis-2
- Knowledge of Demandware Order Management is desired but not essential.
- X/HTML CSS JavaScript XML and SQL
- Oracle or MySQL or MS SQL Server
Very good verbal and written English
Knowledge of Hybris ATG or WebSphere Commerce would be an advantage but not essential.
