Job Description

Job Overview
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Public Area Supervisor to join our Housekeeping Department at Swissotel Wellness Resort Alatau Almaty. The Public Area Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the work of the public area cleaners ensure cleanliness and order in all hotel public spaces maintain high service standards and support the professional growth of the team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and supervise the daily operations of the Public Area Cleaning team.

  • Ensure cleanliness and order in all public areas including corridors lobbies restaurants restrooms staff rooms staircases and other designated spaces in compliance with Swissotel standards.

  • Distribute daily tasks among the cleaners and monitor performance.

  • Inspect public areas service rooms staircases and waste disposal areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.

  • Monitor events meetings and conferences in banqueting halls restaurants and terraces ensuring proper preparation and cleaning before and after each event.

  • Keep cleaning equipment carts and supplies in good condition and ensure their proper and economical use.

  • Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and report shortages or damages.

  • Conduct regular training sessions to improve staff skills and service quality.

  • Maintain records of incidents problems and corrective actions.

  • Ensure staff follow safety hygiene and sanitation requirements as well as hotel policies and grooming standards.

  • Prepare and submit daily reports to the Assistant Public Area Manager.

  • Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned.


Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher or vocational education preferred.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role in a 5-star hotel.

  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals materials and equipment used in hospitality.

  • Basic knowledge of English.

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to high standards.

  • Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings weekends and holidays.
