Job Summary

  • To consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service
  • To oversee the smooth operation of the hotel and be the key contact for any guest issues or hotel emergencies
  • To handle Guest concerns and react quickly logging and notifying the appropriate department leaders.
  • To assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
  • To take responsibilities to make necessary decisions in absence of General Manager/Hotel Manager/ ExCom leaders.
  • To walk through the hotel including outlets and banquet ensuring smooth operation and supporting if necessary.
  • To follow department policies procedures and service standards
  • To follow all safety policies
  • Shift work required
  • Cash handling
  • Oversee front office and guest services during shift.
  • Room allocation for arrivals of the next day.
  • Liaise with Guest Experience Manager to ensure VIP guests needs are met.
  • Identify sales leads to be follow-up up by sales department.
  • Constantly monitor team members appearance attitude and degree of professionalism
  • Motivate and provides a work environment which brings out the best in team members
  • Maintain complete knowledge of hotel services/features
  • Be fully conversant with hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures

  • Previous customer related experience an asset
  • Excellent oral & written communication and interpersonal skills; Spoken English and Japanese is mandatory and additional languages (Chinese) an asset.
  • This is a 24/7 operation and all personnel are expected to adjust work hours to the needs of the business. Some position will include weekend and holiday work.
  • Position requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift. Strong knowledge of computer systems and OPERA required additional languages are an asset.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 kg
  • Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Abllity to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all time
