Job Description and Expectations for Oracle Database Administrator:
- Proficiency in Oracle Database versions 11g 12c and 19c. Familiarity with PostgreSQL is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Proven experience in database performance tuning and optimization (PTO).
- Hands-on experience in database implementation and deployment.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle security best practices.
- Proficiency in database security and encryption.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies for both Oracle and PostgreSQL (not mandatory).
- Experience with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) options for Oracle and PostgreSQL (not mandatory).
- Strong understanding of SQL and PL/SQL for Oracle and SQL and PL/pgSQL for PostgreSQL.
- Experience with database monitoring tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager pgAdmin and Nagios.
- Knowledge of cloud-based databases especially Oracle Cloud and PostgreSQL on AWS is a plus.
- Understanding of SIEM PIM/PAM tools and their role in the Database platform is preferred.
