Key Responsibilities
Therapy Delivery:
Perform various Panchakarma therapies and treatments such as Abhyanga (oil massage) Swedana (herbal steam) Vamana (therapeutic vomiting) and Shirodhara (oil stream on the forehead) as prescribed by an Ayurvedic doctor.
Preparation:
Prepare the therapy room and ensure the availability of all necessary materials including oils herbs and formulations.
Hygiene & Facility Maintenance:
Maintain a clean calm and hygienic environment for clients following all health and safety procedures.
Patient Monitoring & Support:
Monitor the patients response during therapy adjust treatments as needed and provide support before during and after the therapy.
Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of patient information treatment progress and daily activities.
Follow-Up & Aftercare:
Follow up with patients to review their progress and provide aftercare advice for continued wellness.
Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with doctors and other staff members.
Inventory Support:
Assist with managing and supporting inventory of treatment products.
Required Skills & Attributes
Technical Skills: Ability to perform classical Panchakarma procedures and knowledge of appropriate oils herbs and equipment.
Soft Skills: Good communication time management and interpersonal skills.
Personal Attributes: Compassion empathy confidence patience and a patient-centric approach.
Administrative Skills: Basic IT skills and ability to maintain records.
Knowledge: Understanding of basic Ayurvedic principles and the role of Panchakarma in holistic wellness.
Qualifications
Completion of a certified Panchakarma or Ayurveda therapist course.
Some roles may require a background in science biology or a BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) degree.
Previous experience is often preferred though freshers with a strong willingness to learn may also be considered.
Must be a high school graduate. Further training in child care and development from some registered institution (eg. ACNS ). Proven child care experience with references. First Aid and CPR certification. Safety certification. A valid driving license and a safe driving record.
