IT Project Manager (GenAI)
Exciting opportunity for a seasoned IT Project Manager to lead GenAI transformation initiatives in the insurance industry. This hybrid contract role in Toronto involves managing $4M risk-focused projects across agile squads. Requires deep GenAI expertise Agile certification and strong leadership in high-stakes environments.

5-month contract.
Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.

Responsibilities:
Lead and facilitate daily agile stand-ups to resolve blockers and encourage cross-squad collaboration.
Organize prioritize and assign tasks ensuring timelines and expectations are clear and achievable.
Engage with internal stakeholders in the Risk Portfolio to report progress and align strategies.
Use Jira and Confluence to manage workloads document insights and escalate issues appropriately.
Collaborate with senior leadership on financial reporting and project presentations.
Maintain flexibility in team direction while managing shifting priorities and evolving requirements.
Apply knowledge of GenAI to support decision-making data handling and privacy compliance.
Ensure delivery accountability and transparency while supporting interdepartmental communications.
What you will need to succeed:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or a related technical field.
PMP or equivalent project management certification.
One or more Agile certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) Professional Scrum Master (PSM) SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) PMI-ACP or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP).
8 10 years of experience as an IT Project Manager in complex enterprise environments.
5 years of hands-on experience with GenAI-related projects.
Proficient in Agile methodologies including Scrum and SAFe frameworks.
Demonstrated experience managing multi-million-dollar initiatives with multiple cross-functional teams.
Strong technical foundation and familiarity with cloud platforms and GenAI tooling.
Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
