The Staff Cafeteria Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the staff cafeteria within an organization. This includes managing cafeteria staff ensuring high-quality food service maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards and fostering a positive dining experience for employees.
Starting Rate: $23.79 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $28.28
Job Duties Include:
- Supervise train and support cafeteria staff and cooks ensuring performance meets established standards.
- Assist with menu planning food preparation and quality control maintaining compliance with recipes portioning and presentation.
- Oversee daily operations anticipate upcoming events and implement initiatives to enhance the employee dining experience.
- Monitor food storage handling sanitation and equipment cleanliness addressing safety or maintenance issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the Cafeteria Chef on staff feedback financial objectives and maintaining overall standards of service ambiance and cafeteria function.
Qualifications :
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a fast-paced cafeteria or food service environment
- Valid Food Safety Certification
- Strong knowledge of food handling storage and sanitation regulations
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of shifts
- Ability to lift carry push and pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including varied shifts and days across a 7-day operation
- Basic knowledge of budgeting and financial management principles
