Houseperson (Full Time)
Create the experience before the guest has even arrived. As a Houseperson the organizational support you provide to the Housekeeping team will ensure our guest rooms are well equipped and that our guests Feel Welcome from the minute they step into their room.
What you will be doing:
- Ensure the highest levels of guest service through the application of our Fairmont Core standards and standard operating policies.
- Ensure soiled linen is regularly emptied from the pantry and returned to the linen room stock up all pantries with clean linen according to par-stock and to assist the linen room as required with daily tasks.
- Provide updates to appropriate departments - lost/found article to security office to report any equipment this is malfunctioning.
- Responsible to sign for assigned key communication device work paper and return by end of shift.
- To vacuum all corridors and staircases as assigned by section.
- To bring any guest supplies weekly to pantries according to weekly order list.
- To note all guest requests received via Office/Supervisors/Switchboard and carry out exactly all requests.
- Assist with the removal of guestroom curtains for cleaning removal of furniture
- To conduct deep cleaning tasks as assigned (e.g. Spot carpet cleaning shower head de-scaling etc).
- Responsible for ensuring work stations offices are kept clean
- Ensure all health and safety measure are followed
- Assist in on the job training of a new Houseperson as and when required.
- To comply with any reasonable request by the Supervisor and Hotel Management
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Competency in verbal English is essential and basic written required
- Previous experience in Hotel Housekeeping department is desirable.
- Previous experience in customer service is desirable though not essential
- Previous experience in 5 star property is desirable though not essential
- Dynamic energetic and thrives under pressure
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents

Hourly Rate Range: $20.15 - $21.15 CAD Gross per hour
