Job Description
We are looking for a Head of IT and Digital Transformation for an insurance company based in Bulgaria. This person will take full ownership of group IT strategy fostering innovation and cross-country systems integration.
You will define and lead the Group-level IT and digital transformation strategy across Bulgaria Spain Italy and Greece. Beyond managing systems and providers youll elevate the IT culture embed AI/automation and ensure secure future-ready infrastructure.
This is a strategic leadership role delivering technical excellence with business-driven vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute an IT strategy aligned with the Groups business vision.
- Lead deployment and integration of core systems (e.g. policy admin CRM finance cloud infrastructure).
- Champion innovation via AI automation workflows and data-driven solutions.
- Establish robust cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (GDPR ISO 27001).
- Manage vendor relationships budgets and IT investments for ROI.
- Shape IT culture across geographies through governance and collaboration.
- Provide IT leadership and coaching including the support resources based in other European offices.
- Travel occasionally for cross-country coordination and leadership meetings
Requisitos
Key Qualifications
- 10 years in IT (with at least 5 years in leadership or mid-level roles) preferably within insurance or other regulated sectors.
- Proven track record in digital transformation and IT strategy deployment.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise systems cloud platforms programming and AI tools.
- Strong stakeholder management communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English; Spanish or Italian is advantageous.
- Willingness for short periodic travel.
Nice-to-Haves
- Certifications: ITIL PMP Agile ISO 27001.
- Previous experience in cross-border operations.
