Senior Purchasing Specialist
Scope of the role
Supports the companys overall quality raw material sourcing process its administration and synchronization with the rest of Eurotexs supply chain including data analysis reporting and forecasting.
Responsibilities
- Leading sourcing contracting and supply management activities with complex sourcing contracting and supply management activities for assigned categories
- Reviewing processing and administering information about suppliers orders and accompanying documentation maintaining registers with suppliers and completed deliveries performing an analysis of their effectiveness based on accumulated historical data. Evaluating the performance of suppliers based on different criteria s and keeping records. Track-out and analyze vendor performance pricing and delivery cycles.
- Gathering complex data drawing insights and executing data analysis for sourcing initiatives
- Conducting category-specific market research using insights to provide supplier market intelligence and realize identified savings opportunities
- Ensuring efficient and accurate processing and documentation of sourcing transactions (purchase orders) while adhering to financial policies and compliance requirements
- Leading reporting and analytics for inventory management on assigned categories
- Building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships
- Moving current approved requisitions with established suppliers after approval
- Coordinating ongoing correspondence with suppliers for already requested supplies and following up on their successful completion
- Monitoring costs balance suppliers and their performance
- Preparing various reports registers and analysis related to the overall purchasing process and supply management costs inventory discrepancies
- Participate in negotiation processes and arrange the most favorable business terms
- Establish develop and keep good business relations with suppliers
Requirements
- University Degree in Business Administration/Economics/Relevant
- Related purchasing/buying/sourcing/backoffice industry experience
- Problem-solving and analytical skills with comfort using standard analysis methods and tools
- Proactive inquisitive self-motivated and service-oriented
- Has a sense of urgency managing milestones with capacity to prioritize/align conflicting demands in a high pace environment
- Ability to function in ambiguous and/or time-sensitive situations
- Strong interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively to multiple levels with proficiency in English
- Proactive and team player mindset
- Excellent communication negotiations project management and analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Office extraordinary skills in Excel and ERP Software
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to travel as needed for suppliers audits quality checks and negotiation
