Job Description
This role will see you rotating through the Resort kitchens working la carte dinner buffet breakfast production and banquet shifts.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Preparing and serving food for our breakfast buffet ensuring freshness and quality are front of mind.
- Prepare mis-en-place as required.
- Ensure consistent great food production in line with the high-quality standards set by the Resort.
- Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage and assist with ordering necessary food items.
- Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure all equipment is maintained.
- Contributing to ideas to keep our offerings varied and exciting for our guests.
Qualifications :
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:
- Trade qualified (minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery).
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment preferred; as to an understanding of food safety requirements.
- A genuine passion for food and displaying very high standards of production and presentation.
- A working understanding of and the ability to maintain food safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills and a high standard of grooming and personal presentation.
- The capacity to multi-task and cope well under pressure.
- While predominantly focused on breakfast you have the flexibility to work a 7-day roster with an availability to work varied shifts from early mornings late evenings including weekends and Public Holidays as per our business demands.
- A reliable colleague who genuinely enjoys those early morning starts!
