Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Junior Trader to join our Pulse trading team. This role supports the Senior Trader and pulse desk operations providing exposure to global commodity markets while developing the skills to progress into a full trading position. You will contribute to market analysis trade execution and logistics coordination while building strong stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Support Senior Trader with daily market activities trade execution and data entry.
  • Monitor and report grower sentiment pricing trends and market developments.
  • Assist in understanding container and bulk export pathways freight rates and arbitrage opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records including trade entries and daily P&L tracking.
  • Liaise with supply chain stakeholders to optimise export options.
  • Participate in team and global market meetings.

Attributes and Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive adaptable and able to work under pressure.
  • Independent thinker with collaborative mindset.
  • Interest in agricultural commodities and markets.

Qualifications :

  • Tertiary degree in Economics Finance Agricultural Economics or related discipline.
  • Knowledge or experience in commodity trading export logistics or market analysis (desirable).
  • Strong numerical and analytical capability with attention to detail.
