Job Description

We have two full time opportunities for Registered Nurses - AOD to join our team based on site at the Melbourne Immigration Centre located in Broadmeadows.

Permanent full-time roles available

Join us in bringing a new approach to medical and wellbeing care for detainees by: 

  • Participate in the assessment planning and implementation of care based on individual detainee AOD needs incorporating a holistic approach to primary health care service delivery.
  • Undertake a wide range of clinical duties including but not limited to AOD health assessments care planning medication administration health promotion and education etc ensuring care is evidence based and delivered using clinical guidelines and practice to underpin competency.
  • Work in collaboration with the primary health care team to ensure a multidisciplinary coordinated and integrated approach to service delivery.
  • Undertake person centred nursing assessments utilising a range screening and clinical assessment tools.

Lets talk about you:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Relevant qualifications and experience including minimum 5 years clinical experience working in AOD
  • Post-graduate qualification in AOD 
  • Commitment to person-centred care
  • Availability Monday - Sunday
  • Experience working within a detention or correctional setting will be highly regarded
