Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking a Finance & Compliance Manager to join their team.

The Manager Finance and Compliance is responsible for leading the coordination and delivery of the Investment Program including the administration of language grant funding. The role provides strategic and operational oversight across finance compliance and audit functions ensuring the Trust meets its financial management reporting and risk obligations. The Manager Finance and Compliance plays a critical leadership in program and financial governance including the development and implementation of reporting frameworks budget oversight financial audits risk management and post-program analysis. The role requires strong collaboration across government agencies and Aboriginal communities to support effective program delivery and alignment with the Trust s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities for Senior Regulatory Officer:
  1. Lead and manage funding program(s) including developing and implementing appropriate program plans systems assessment processes governance structures risk management frameworks and reporting standards to ensure the effective delivery of new and existing programs.
  2. Provide overall coordination of financial management including monitoring expenditure forecasting financial controls and ensuring alignment with approved budget allocations. Lead the preparation of financial reports and updates to ensure clear oversight of budget performance financial risks and resourcing considerations.
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and program partners to effectively scope develop and deliver appropriately targeted funding programs to deliver identified outcomes within required timeframes.
Selection Criteria
  1. Proven experience in financial and accounts management with high level knowledge of accounting policies procedures professional standards and legislative requirements.
  2. Appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent relevant professional experience and training.
  3. Demonstrated experience and ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with and understand issues impacting on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
On offer is a contract role at a highly sought after NSW Government Organisation with a highly competitive daily rate. There is also the strong possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role.
