Position Summary
Designs and delivers instruction in undergraduate Biology lecture and laboratory courses offered by the School. Advises students and participates in all department various school and University-wide committees and activities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Delivers instruction for both lecture and laboratory for undergraduate courses that include Evolution and Ecology ( BIO 2424) Biostatistics ( BIO 2320) Conservation Biology ( BIO 3470) and two team-taught research courses ( BIO 3352 and BIO 4351) as well as a general education science course when needed. Daily 60% Adheres to the established class schedule and office hours on a daily basis. Submits textbook requests syllabi grades assessments and reports in a timely manner. Daily 20% Remains knowledgeable of current research in the discipline by participating in conferences publishing and maintaining collaborative research relationships. Monthly 5% Participates in curriculum and program development. Monthly 5% Advises students for successful degree completion and pursuit of post baccalaureate training opportunities. Monthly 5% Participates in departmental school and university meetings and academic activities. Monthly 5% Other duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair. As needed
