A well-established law firm is actively seeking a Labor & Employment Attorney to join their legal team in either Rochester or Buffalo NY. This role is ideal for an attorney with 2-7 years of experience particularly at the mid-level who is looking to handle a wide range of employment-related matters. The firm is especially interested in candidates who have advised corporate clients and possess excellent legal research and writing skills. Litigation experience is a plus although not required.
This position requires bar admission in New York State. However if youre relocating and not yet admitted you may be hired under a provisional status until licensure is obtained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counsel corporate clients on labor and employment law matters.
- Draft review and revise employment agreements policies and compliance documents.
- Assist with employment litigation matters where applicable.
- Work closely with a supportive legal team and maintain a 1800 billable hour target.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New York State Bar or willingness to obtain admission.
- 2-7 years of labor and employment law experience.
- Strong writing and analytical skills.
- Prior employment litigation experience is helpful but not required.
- Writing samples are preferred with application especially for those interested in litigation.
