You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Kodiak Trial Court of the Alaska Court System is looking for a highly dependable individual to become a Court Case Manager 1 civil clerk (salary range 10).
This job classification may promote to salary range 11 after successful completion of three years of service with the court.
Employees transferring from another State of Alaska agency may receive consideration for advance step placement.
The Position
This position is responsible for managing court cases from initiation to closure. Duties include reviewing and processing legal documents such as complaints petitions and orders to ensure compliance with court rules and procedures. The role involves assigning case numbers issuing summons making judicial assignments collecting filing fees and maintaining accurate case records in the courts computer systems. The incumbent will handle various case types including divorce dissolution domestic violence probate and child in need of aid.
They will prepare and distribute court notices and orders coordinate with law enforcement for service of documents and respond to public inquiries regarding court procedures Alaska Statutes and court rules. Additional responsibilities include routing pleadings to the appropriate court staff preparing court forms monitoring case files and entering appeal cases into the system when assigned to Anchorage judges. Accuracy attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential.
The Work Environment
The Kodiak Courthouse is located on Mission Road. The staff includes two Court Case Managers 1 and two Court Case Managers 2 under the supervision of the Clerk of your role you will become a part of the Kodiak Trial Court helping to fulfill the mission of the Alaska Court System.
The Work Hours
Full-time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for this position are Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.

Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND one year of office clerical experience.
Substitution:
Additional office clerical work experience will substitute for the high school diploma or GED certificate on a month-for-month basis.
Completion of 36 semester credit hours or 48 quarter credit hours of coursework from an accredited college will substitute for the year of required office clerical experience.
Completion of an appropriate vocational training course of study such as legal secretary paralegal or office skills will substitute for the required office clerical experience on a month-for-month basis.

WORK HISTORY
