Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Office experience is preferred
- Fluent in English and Spanish
Nature of Work:
Employee supports the schools efforts to educate and engage families on school district and state requirements. Many actions taken by the employee are based on general methods policies and purposes. The employee is expected to devise methods to produce the anticipated results. Unusual situations arise with some frequency requiring discretionary judgment analysis and independent action. This employee receives general and specific direction. This is a 10 month position.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of and ability to use grammar vocabulary and punctuation
- Working knowledge of accounting techniques and procedures
- Skill to operate a computer
- Ability to interpret analyze and report information
- Ability to access information through a computer network; word processing Internet etc.
- Ability to use complex word processing or spreadsheet software programs; Internet; e-mail
Essential Job Functions
- Work with school principal and staff to develop school parent and family engagement plan
- Facilitate activities events and meetings to help develop parent/family/school relationships and build knowledge base of families to help support students
- Develop disseminate and analyze family survey and survey results to help meet the needs of school parents and families
- Support families with document completion and answering questions related to school expectations and events
