Job Description
We are a growing LTC Pharmacy in Buckhead Atlanta.
We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our team!
Preferred Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience as a pharmacist including 1 year in an independent LTC Pharmacy setting
Prior pharmacy management experience
Working knowledge of FrameworkLTC software
Strong understanding of GA and Federal pharmacy law including implications for the LTC setting
Prior experience working with an eMAR
Exceptional understanding of psychiatric pharmacotherapy with a focus on adolescent mental health
Job Duties:
Core job duties will include but are not limited to:
Accurate thorough and efficient review of all work performed by our pharmacy technicians.
DUR Review of all prescription orders entered including patient profile management.
Verify that each order meets both the regulatory and third-party requirements of a prescription to ensure compliance.
Make appropriate corrections or clarification requests for non-compliant orders and ensure that proper documentation is maintained.
Daily management/supervision of the pharmacy technicians to ensure that both pharmacy productivity goals and facility contract requirements are met.
Consultation with facility nursing staff and medical providers regarding order clarification requests operational inquiries drug information requests and eMAR troubleshooting.
Assist in the ordering receiving handling dispensing and documentation of all controlled substances.
Follows all applicable rules and regulations including GA Board of Pharmacy DEA federal pharmacy law and HIPAA.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Unrestricted active GA Pharmacist License
- At Least 2 years of experience as a pharmacist in a community pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of retail pharmacy billing including resolution of rejections and advanced troubleshooting
- Open Availability (Mon-Sat)
- Willingness to assume on-call duties according to a rotating schedule
- 40 wpm typing speed
- High Degree of proficiency with Windows-based software programs including MS Office and MS Outlook
- Exceptional Attention to detail when performing Data Entry Review and product verification
- Fluency in English
