JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Application Development Leader to drive end-to-end engineering execution across our core technology stack. This role oversees full-stack application development including front-end back-end and middleware as well as critical cross-functional teams such as Quality Assurance (QA) Customer Support DevOps IT and Information Security.

As the application development lead you will own delivery scalability security and quality across our applications and platform services while mentoring a high-performing multi-disciplinary this role you will:

Full-Stack Application Development

• Lead architecture design and development of scalable secure and high-performance Web/Mobile applications while maintaining high standards of engineering excellence.

• Implementing responsive UI components state management solutions and modern web technologies to create exceptional frontend (React Angular Vue etc.) and backend (Java Spring Boot etc.) development and integration layers.
• Drive API strategy (REST GraphQL) database schema design and system architecture across applications to support business requirements and system scalability.
• Collaborate with product design data engineering AI-Platform and MLOps teams to deliver innovative solutions while making key technical decisions that shape our platforms future.

Engineering Management & Execution

• Manage and mentor the full-stack engineers QA Customer support IT-InfoSec and DevOps Engineers.
• Establish engineering standards code quality benchmarks agile rituals and delivery pipelines.
• Drive sprint planning technical roadmap alignment and cross-functional execution in collaboration with product and design.

Quality Assurance & Customer Support

• Build and scale QA processes (unit integration regression and performance testing).
• Oversee support engineering functions and align with customer success teams to ensure high uptime and rapid issue resolution.

IT InfoSec & DevOps

• Partner with IT and InfoSec to implement best practices in authentication access control and secure development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Lead the integration of DevOps practices including CI/CD containerization observability and Kubernetes-based deployments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design/implement scalable full-stack applications using Java/Spring backends and modern frontend frameworks.
• Architect and optimize APIs (such as RESTful GraphQL) and database schemas.
• Lead development of new features and maintain existing codebase.
• Implement automated testing and deployment strategies.
• Optimize application performance and resolve technical debt.
• Guide technical architecture decisions and technology selection/implementation.
• Review code and provide technical mentorship/leadership to other engineers.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to define technical requirements.
• Establish coding standards and development best practices.
• Monitor system health and implement improvements based on metrics.
• Document technical specifications and system architecture.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES. AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in computer science engineering or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in full stack web development.
• Proven track record leading complex full stack initiatives including modern frontend web frameworks selection and implementation.
• Full-stack development experience with proficiency in Python Java and Spring for backend development.
• Frontend development expertise with modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular React Vue or similar).
• Experience building and maintaining scalable web applications and APIs.
• Strong understanding of database design caching strategies and API optimization.
• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.
• Strong system design and architecture skills.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with containerization/orchestration (preferred).
• Proficiency with Git CI/CD pipelines deploying services to Kubernetes (preferred).
• Working experience on GCP LLMs Cursor etc. (preferred).
