The Opportunity

Downers Energy & Utilities business is seeking an experienced Performance and Quality Coordinator to support the delivery of our critical Grid Services (Transpower) contracts.

Based in either Palmerston North Taupo or Taranaki and reporting to the Performance and Quality Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring assurance compliance and quality outcomes across contract KPIs administrative requirements and audit activities. Working closely with Service Delivery Managers subcontractors and client stakeholders youll contribute to strengthening performance safety and customer satisfaction in a high-profile contract environment.

This role is full-time offering the chance to work with a collaborative and supportive team while contributing to essential infrastructure delivery.

What Youll Do

As the Performance and Quality Coordinator you will:

  • Support the delivery of assurance and compliance activities including audits management plans and KPI reporting.
  • Manage documentation competency requirements and quality systems to ensure contract obligations are met.
  • Contribute to client engagement including resolving non-conformance reports and ensuring effective customer service.
  • Assist with financial and compliance processes to align with Downer and client requirements.
  • Foster positive relationships with subcontractors suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.

What Were Looking For

We are seeking a motivated professional with:

  • Proven experience in contract management compliance or quality assurance within the utilities or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients subcontractors and internal teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while ensuring contract compliance and performance standards are met.
  • Knowledge of HSE and quality systems with a track record of supporting a strong safety culture.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Quality Management or a related discipline (preferred).
