Summary of Job Duties:

The University of Arkansas Community College at Hope-Texarkana is a growing educational institution seeking dynamic engaging individuals for full-time instructor positions. Successful candidates will be well organized punctual reliable team oriented and motivated. They will possess the ability to interact positively with diverse groups of individuals strong communication skills and have the ability to use advanced technology. They will have a passion for teaching and a genuine desire to serve students and the workforce.

Faculty shall be responsible to the Funeral Service Program Director Health Professions Dean and the Vice Chancellor for Academics and have the following duties:
Be concerned with all things involving teaching and student learning and to provide instruction in accordance with the stated philosophy and objectives of the College and in accordance with the established and approved syllabus and student learning outcomes for each course taught.
Provide assessment of student learning in his/her classes and to use this assessment to improve instruction.
Acquaint all students with course requirements including how to login to Blackboard and locate grades during the first week of class and provide students with periodic evaluations of his/her progress.
Ensure online course set-up prior to the deadline and according to guidelines.
Provide online instruction following college guidelines.
Report all irregularities questions or problems concerning instruction to the program director division dean and/or the Vice Chancellor for Academics.
Maintain current credentials to include current licensure on file with the Vice Chancellor for Academics and in the Office of Human Resources.
Serve on department and university committees.
Participate in professional development.
Working knowledge of computers and software related to instructional area including MS Office/Google Suite data systems mobile technologies web conference tools and social networking; and knowledge of or willing to learn Blackboard or similar learning management system (LMS) preferred.


Qualifications:

Masters degree preferred

Faculty must have a bachelors or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university documented by official transcripts.

All newly or newly appointed full-time faculty must earn a masters degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university within five years of their initial appointment date.

The faculty member must be a graduate of an ABFSE accredited program.

The faculty member must have a current funeral directing embalming license or both with a minimum of 2 years experience.

Salary Information:

$35500.00. Commensurate with education and experience
