Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will support financial accounting including related reporting such as regulatory and tax submission management reporting and assistance with ad-hoc projects.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting and Reporting of a UAE subsidiary

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements and report ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.

  • Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Assist with internal and external audits ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

2. Tax Submission and Compliance of a UAE subsidiary

  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of tax filings including income tax and VAT.

  • Stay updated with changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance with local tax laws.

  • Liaise with tax authorities/external consultant to resolve any tax-related issues or inquiries.

  • Prepare and maintain documentation for tax audits and assessments.

3. Treasury Operations of a UAE subsidiary

  • Supervise treasury operations including cash flow management and bank reconciliations.

  • Monitor and manage liquidity to ensure adequate funds for operational needs.

4. GHNW Financial Analysis and Insights

  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends variances and opportunities for improvement.

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions and improve financial performance.

  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support for various projects and initiatives.

5. GHNW Ad-hoc Projects and Tasks

  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Financial Controller including special projects and initiatives.

  • Participate in cross-functional teams to address business challenges and drive improvements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field

  • Professional Qualification (e.g. CPA ACCA)

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of financial principles practices and regulations.

  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • High level of integrity and attention to detail

  • Enthusiastic about adopting new technologies to improve work efficiency and effectiveness.
