Student Theatre Assistant
Position Overview: Student Theatre Assistants will be assigned to employmentin the box office scene shop costume shop or other duties as assigned. Costume Shop Employee - Skills needed: An eye for detail and experience sewing ability adapt quickly to new situations and be a skilled problem solver who works well under pressure
Scene Shop Employee - Skills needed: basic math skills and experience working with power tools ability adapt quickly to new situations and be a skilled problem solver who works well under pressure
Box Office Assistant Skills needed: customer service (a professional and positive demeanor) ability to manage modest financial transactions (selling tickets) ability adapt quickly to new situations and be a skilled problem solver who works well under pressure. Comfortable using (and trouble-shooting) iPad technology and website interaction. Must be available Thursday Saturday evenings (6:30 8 p.m.) and Sunday afternoons (1:00 2:30 p.m.) on performance weekends.
Essential Duties: - Be able to follow instructions
- Collaborating with peers
- Managing build schedules
- Interpreting scripts and design
- Creating art
To be eligible to be a CSP student employee one must: - Be enrolled and registered as a CSP student (PSEO students are not eligible).
- Have a United States social security number.*
- Have proper identification as determined by Form I-9.
- Be in good standing with CSP academic requirements and student accounts.
- For summer employment priority will be given to the student employees who are enrolled and registered in summer courses.
