Are you a driven commercial litigator ready to step into a leadership role
Our client a reputable law firm a leader in complex disputes and large-scale investigations is seeking a Manager Legal Disputes to head up and mentor their Johannesburg disputes team.
About the role
You’ll work closely with the Head of Disputes and senior managers supervising both qualified attorneys and legal analysts on high-value time-critical matters. Expect exposure across multiple industries – financial services energy retail technology media telecoms and construction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supervising teams on complex dispute resolution projects.
- Managing large-scale document reviews regulatory investigations and volume claims.
- Building strong client and internal relationships to ensure top-tier service delivery.
- Training and mentoring legal analysts as part of the firm’s international development programme.
- Overseeing budgets workflows and quality assurance to deliver innovative cost-effective solutions.
What we’re looking for:
- Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
- 5 years’ PQE in commercial litigation (exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered).
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing junior lawyers/legal staff.
- Excellent analytical communication and client presentation skills.
- IT savvy with experience in document review or case management software an advantage.
