A leading organisation in the FMCG/manufacturing sector is looking for an experienced Labour Relations Manager with strong expertise in South African labour legislation union engagement and HR generalist practices to join their team in Boksburg. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to leadership drive people strategies lead labour and employee relations and ensure compliance while building constructive partnerships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior leadership to translate business needs into impactful people strategies.
Drive implementation of global HR initiatives at a local level ensuring regulatory compliance.
Act as a change agent and coach for managers to support capability building and transformation.
Develop and lead the organisations labour relations strategy aligned with business goals.
Lead union negotiations wage agreements consultations and employee representative sessions.
Represent the organisation in disciplinary hearings CCMA cases arbitrations and disputes.
Resolve grievances and implement proactive employee engagement practices.
Support workforce planning recruitment internal mobility and talent acquisition.
Provide guidance on performance management succession planning and talent development.
Lead Employment Equity Diversity and Inclusion initiatives across the business.
Requirements:
Grade 12 and a relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources Labour Relations or Industrial Psychology.
Formal training or qualification in Labour/Employee Relations (essential).
Minimum 8 years progressive HR experience including 5 years in a senior generalist and/or labour relations role.
Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation CCMA procedures and bargaining structures.
Proven experience in union negotiations conflict resolution and case management.
High emotional intelligence with the ability to navigate complex employee relations issues.
Strong business acumen with experience in strategic workforce planning.
