We are currently looking for a passionate and results-oriented Key Account Lead to join our team in Johannesburg where you will play a vital role in shaping and growing our Strategic Initiatives Portfolio (SIP) business across South Africa.
As a Key Account Lead you will be at the forefront of transforming relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem from hospitals and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to public and private entities by identifying opportunities building long-term partnerships and driving impactful patient-centered solutions.
What youll be doing
Develop and implement Key Account Plans for the aligned accounts in the assigned territory
Allocate financial resources according to business/account plans
Regular review of performance and progress of implementation of plans against agreed metrics
Build and manage strategic alliances with key stakeholders (including HCPs Distributors Purchasing Departments Demand Planning etc.) and develop long-term relationships to achieve key objectives for SIP business
Identify and leverage the influence of KOLs in the assigned territory
Analyze accounts and assist with the development of the account plans (which should include sales market share required resources etc.) in cooperation with BM.
Leads the formulary Inclusion/enlisting process for respective products for assigned key centers and tenders in the assigned territory
Establish a pricing strategy for tenders in the assigned territory
Establish the products awareness activities to be in line with business needs and budget
Work closely with peers cross-functional teams (marketing medical training etc.) and the SADC leadership team to continually drive a culture of collaboration support and sharing best practices to achieve the allocated qualitative and quantitative objectives.
Establish a key account management approach and strategy to manage and focus on growing and maintaining current key customers and establish opportunities to bring new revenue by leading both government and private businesses
Tenacity to navigate the Sales Process within the government and Private Hospitals creating opportunities for growth in an environment with limited resources to achieve and exceed the allocated sales target on a monthly quarterly and annual basis.
Maximize Patient share of assigned products through understanding the patient journey competitive landscape patient follow-up models and HCPs practices in the assigned key accounts
Leads sales and promotional activities with HCPs within the designated territory
What were looking for
Proven experience in Key Account Management Sales or Business Development in the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector.
Strong understanding of the South African healthcare system particularly public-private dynamics.
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and communication skills.
Passion for innovation improving patient outcomes and creating sustainable healthcare solutions.
