Job Summary:
This role is for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in a short-term acute care/Level III trauma center. The PTA will provide treatment to patients floating between units as needed and will be responsible for patient care communication with supervising therapists and proactive management of patient assignments. Weekend availability is required.
Location: Walla Walla Washington United States.
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy treatments to patients.
- Float between different units within the facility.
- Proactively manage patient assignments picking up patients if needed.
- Communicate effectively with supervising physical therapists.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Adhere to established treatment plans.
- Participate in a team environment.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Associates degree in Physical Therapist Assistant studies.
- Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Acute care experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience.
Special Considerations:
- Weekend availability is required (Sundays specifically).
- The PTA:patient ratio is 1:8-10 treatments.
- On-call is not required.
- Block scheduling is not required.
- 48-hour workweeks are not approved.
Scheduling:
- Weekend work is required (Sundays).
- Shift times and assignment details will be determined by the employer.
- No block scheduling.
