Provide clear legal advice and guidance to internal departments on enforcement and prosecution matters.
Draft legal documents summonses charges and court bundles for prosecution cases.
Represent the authority as an advocate in the Magistrates Court including first appearances trials and sentencing hearings.
Liaise with investigators enforcement officers and external agencies to prepare cases.
Assist with civil and general litigation work as required.
Maintain accurate legal records and case management systems.
Keep up to date with relevant legislation case law and court procedures.
Qualified Solicitor entitled to practice in England and Wales.
Experience in prosecutions criminal litigation or regulatory enforcement.
Strong advocacy skills and experience conducting cases in the Magistrates Court.
Excellent legal drafting and analytical skills.
Ability to manage a varied caseload independently and under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
