We are looking for Software Engineers who are motivated and hardworking to improve Cohesitys Products by working on features tools scripts that will make it easy to sell deploy and maintain them. You are not only a Software Engineer who designs and implements features but you have a knack for diagnosing problems in large bodies of complex code understanding scalability and performance and love to work on fixes with rapid turnaround time. You will be part of our Product and Sustenance Engineering team working closely with Product Managers Customer Support System Engineers and our Customers.
HOW YOULL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE
Perform in-depth root cause analysis implement code fixes to resolve product defects/issues to customers.
Design and implement tools to help support engineers diagnose problems thereby reducing time to resolution.
Deep dive into analyzing troubleshooting and fixing functional and Performance issues with rapid delivery of the solution.
Collaborate with Team members Support Dev QA and Field teams to diagnose and troubleshoot complex customer issues and orchestrate development and testing of patches/hot-fixes
You will mentor the team on writing maintainable code.
WED LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING
- You bring 7 years of experience in developing and troubleshooting large scalable distributed systems written in Go/C/C on Linux and
- Windows Platforms.
- Strong coding analytical debugging and troubleshooting skills including use of tools such GDB Python Debugger.
- Expertise in one of the areas:
- SMB/NFS/S3 protocols.
- Distributed file systems
- Java Apache Cassandra
- Problem-solver who can dive deep to solve complex problems/issues.
- Bring good testing methodologies and passion for building quality products.
- Experience in developing sustaining and maintenance of enterprise software.
- Looking for great communication skills.
- Understanding of hyper-converged storage systems architecture is a big plus.
Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors including a candidates skills qualifications and experience location and salary expectations and therefore a starting salary at the low end high end or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation commission (if in a sales function) and/or equity grants. Additionally full-time employees are eligible to participate in ourcomprehensive benefits framework including health and wellness benefits vacation paid holidays and refresh days 401(k) retirement plan life and disability insurance coverages and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.
Pay Range :
The compensation noted above is based on an annualized hourly rate assuming normal full-time employment.

In-Office Expectations
Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
