Job Summary

About the Position

Were seeking a CADD Manager (Rail and Transportation Infrastructure) to join our team! Youll oversee computer-aided design and drafting activities for large-scale passenger rail and heavy civil infrastructure programs exceeding $500M in value. Youll manage CADD professionals establish and enforce project-wide standards and ensure the production of accurate compliant and coordinated engineering deliverables that support program design procurement construction and operations.

This is a long-term full-time onsite position located in the greater Los Angeles area CA.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Create and edit 2D and 3D models using computer aided design software.
Ensure all designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
May lead and mentor a team of CAD professionals.
Coordinate with engineering architecture project controls and construction teams to ensure CADD deliverables meet scope schedule and regulatory requirements.
Support integration between design platforms and program-wide project management tools.
Maintain digital file structures drawing libraries and metadata controls to support multi-billion-dollar program documentation needs.
Review and approve design outputs for accuracy quality compliance and constructability.
Support design-build procurement packages bid documents and change-order drawing updates.
Provide training technical support and knowledge transfer to CADD staff to build program-wide drafting capability.
Prepare executive-level reporting on drafting production status quality metrics and resource utilization.

Minimum Qualifications

AAS degree in computer aided drafting or related field.
10 years work experience supporting transportation infrastructure inclusive of passenger rail projects.
Experience managing CAD standards workflows and quality control across multidisciplinary teams (civil structural systems electrical etc.)
Ability to lead CAD teams mentor junior staff and manage workload distribution
Proficiency in CAD and BIM software such as AutoCAD MicroStation Revit Civil 3D Navisworks and Bentley OpenRail/OpenBuildings
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365/Suite (e.g. Outlook Teams Word Excel PowerPoint etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering or related field.

Compensation Details

The salary range listed for this role is $110k-$140k/year ($53-$67/hour). The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidates level of experience breadth of skills total education achieved certifications/licenses that have been obtained geographic location etc.
