Our client is an Australian subsidiary of a major international supplier of bulk powder & packaging machines manufacturer and provider.
At this time we are looking for a motivated individual to manage the full sales to installation cycle of refits and upgrades on a wide range of bulk powder and packaging line solutions.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Site assessment and quotation of upgrades and retrofits to existing installations.
- Preparation of design drawingsand documentation either by yourselfor in liaison withthe internal design team.
- Preparation and submission of quotations and securing purchase orders for projects.
- Project managementof the build and suppliers.
- Hands on installation and commissioning of upgrades and retrofits.
- Customer training.
- This is primarily aHead Office based position but some local and interstate travel will be required from time to time.
Ideally the successful applicant will be a qualified Mechanical / Electrical Engineer who is looking for a more than just a design job and who enjoys the hands on aspects of conducting installation work. However applications from suitably trade qualified Service Technicians with the appropriate skills are also strongly encouraged.
Ultimately it will be your ability to demonstrate most or all of the following skills and attributes that will win you the day.
- You hold Tertiary or Trade qualifications in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
- A working knowledge of PLC operation and/or programming preferably on Allen Bradley Siemens or Omron systemswould be an advantage but this is notessentialas training can be provided.
- You possess a working proficiencywith AutoCad and MS Projects.
- You can visualise a concept and transfer this into a working solution.
- An affinity with and understanding of the mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic aspects of process machines.
- Strong computer skills.
- An ability to work autonomously and display excellent customer service.
- A strong eye for detail and a determination to do it right the first time.
