Intern - Quantity Surveying

Job Description Summary

Job Description

The Quantity Surveyor Intern supports the cost management and contract administration functions of construction projects. This role is ideal for students seeking a credit-bearing internship in Civil Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related fields seeking hands-on experience in the construction industry.


About the Role

  • Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.

  • Support the preparation of tender documents and contracts.

  • Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings.

  • Help monitor project costs and ensure alignment with budgets.

  • Assist in evaluating contractor progress claims and variations.

  • Maintain documentation and records related to cost and contract management.

About You

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with AutoCAD or cost estimating software is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.

  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
