We are on the lookout for an Early Childhood Education Lecturer to teach our Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 5). This programme is designed and owned by the Ashton Warner Academy subsidiary of Future Skills.

This position is a Full-time Fixed term role from September 2025 to June 2026 and will be based at our Manukau campus.
Responsibilities will include the following:
Planning and delivering the Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 5) programme.
Facilitating face-to-face learning and teaching using a range of physical and digital resources.
Providing learning environments that address the group and individual needs of students using a variety of teaching and learning methods.
Applying assessment and moderation practices to promote and facilitate student learning and meet compliance requirements.
Arranging student work experience placements in collaboration with the academic team.
Visiting monitoring and assessing students whilst on placement.
Providing additional support to students to help them successfully complete their studies.
Working in collaboration with the academic team.

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone with the knowledge skills and experience below:
A qualification in Early Childhood Education at Level 7 or above with full Teacher registration.
A full drivers license.
Experience in tertiary teaching assessment and moderation.
A qualification or working towards a recognised qualification in tertiary teaching at Level 5 or above.
Extensive knowledge and experience working in the Early Childhood sector.
Ability to work with a range of new technologies including Moodle and Microsoft.
Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
Excellent communication time management planning and organisation skills.
Ability to work positively with diverse learners being supportive and empathetic to their needs.
A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi tikanga Mori and the use of te reo Mori.
